Henrique's obituary
Henrique Ferriera June 2nd, 1934- August 14th, 2024
Henrique passed away at the age of 90 while lovingly tended to by his three children.
Born in Tomar, Portugal, Henrique learned the value of hard work at an early age growing up in a large family; and he embodied this throughout his life. He married Virginia Ferreira in Tomar, Portugal in the same church he baptized his children.
He dedicated his early adulthood to serving as a Police Officer to the community. Henrique embodied the American Dream moving his family to America for a better life, and he used his work ethic to provide a quality life for his children. This decision provided a legacy that his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren are all thankful for. He worked at General Motors for two decades and until retirement.
An avid fisherman and hunter, Henrique was an outdoorsman and could almost always be found outside- working, soccer, and tending the garden or animals. He could build almost anything and fix most things. He was truly a man of many talents. He was a generous man and full of knowledge. He will be remembered and honored as a strong father, husband of 67 years, and lovingly as "Eekey" to his 4 grandchildren.
He is survived by his two sons, Joseph Ferriera and Victor Ferriera; his daughter Anna Noack; his 4 grand-daughters; and his 6 great-grandchildren; and his two sisters Elisabeth and Leonilde.
Henrique's family would like to thank the Dove House in Westminster, Maryland for their compassionate patient care. In lieu of flowers, the family requests any contributions/gifts be made in memory of Henrique Ferreira.
