To Hema's Family and Friends.   I am so deeply sorry to hear about your loss.  Hema has always been such a wonderful, beuatiful and pleasant young lady.  She will be truly missed.

Keep her spirit alive through the wonderful memories that you shared with her, and thank God for letting us to be part of her life.

My heart aches.

I remember Hema as the kind  woman who helped me learn so much about our software at work.  She was so generous with her time and patient in spirit.  She made learning enjoyable and fun.  I really liked working with Hema and looked forward to whenever we would chat.

She was indeed a good human being.

A beautiful light.

I pray for you all.

It is with great sadness that I learned of Hema's passing. She was a remarkably talented practitioner of Karate, Kobudo, and Silambam, having mastered these martial arts from a young age. By all accounts, Hema was a positive and inspiring individual, and her loss is truly heartbreaking.

During this difficult time, I hope that Hema's family can find the strength and support they need to cope with their grief. My deepest condolences go out to her loved ones. Hema's dedication and passion for the martial arts she studied will surely continue to inspire others, and her memory will live on through the impact she made on those around her.

This is heartbreaking! Dear Hema, Rest in Peace. We will miss you. Your energy, warmth, care, the zeal to move forward and support others, suggestions on amazing reads and quotes, will all be missed every moment. I still remember your support and empathy 8 months ago when I was at the hospital to take care of my dad who was suffering from cancer. Writing this message brings back pain but also memories of your warmth during my difficult time. When we spoke couple months back and had a fun chat about ERGs, careers and courses and you went on a sick leave, I never thought I will be writing this today. I know you are at peace and spreading your light wherever you are. Prayers for the family and baby Surya.
I am in utter disbelief. You will be missed dearly. My condolences to the family. I hope they get the strength to bear this loss. Om Shanti.
To say Hema will be greatly missed is an understatement. Hema was a great colleague and friend. In my earliest days at Abbvie, Hema and I set out to work on a project together. I lacked experience and the know how to make it all happen. Hema was generous with her time, helping me to learn and grow and never made me feel like a burden (although I am sure she could have moved much faster without me!). I enjoyed getting to know Hema and was beyond excited for her when she shared during a car ride to an outing that she was expecting. I was even more excited to hear she was joining the boy mom club with me and once Surya was born, I loved hearing about his development milestones. I remember specifically how much she enjoyed his first smiles, laughs and his becoming more engaged with Mom and Dad. Although we didn't always work closely together, Hema was always a trusted member of my extended team and someone I could count on. I was very excited that we were being brought together at the start of this year and would be direct colleagues. I knew from the start that Hema would be a trusted and collaborative partner and secretly I was excited to learn even more from her. I am so thankful to have known Hema and although her time with us was way too short, I will always remember her for all of the ways she touched my life.

To the loving family of Hema: Your dear one will be greatly missed. There is nothing more that I can say that has not already been said by all other people who loved and admired Hema. She was one awesome person and accomplished so much at this young age - something that would take others many more years to accomplish, if one is lucky. Cancer is very cruel is a great understatement.

Two recent memories that touched my heart.... the night before her big meeting with the oncologist to decide her treatment plan, she said that she was trying to take her mind off the anxiety by reading with her dear husband. When asked what they were planning to read, she said she didn't know much about bitcoins and wanted to learn more about it, so they were going to read about Bitcoins. That's the Hema I have always known, hungry and thirsty for knowledge and personal growth and advancement . My second memory that I will never forget...when I visited her at the Hospice place recently, she was so very weak and tired and couldn't even talk....but she said something that I could not understand...her dear sister Varshini translated it for me. Hema ha said 'Thank you for coming'. That's the Hema I always knew .... very gracious and kind.

Goutham, Surya, Varshini, Hema's parents & Goutham's parents and the extended families...please accept my heartfelt condolence.

Closing with a Winnie the Pooh message: "If ever there is a tomorrow when we're not together, there is something you must always remember. You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem and smarter than you think. But the most important thing is, even if we are apart, I'll be with you."

I believe the above would be Hema's message to her dear families and friends.

My sincere and deepest condolences to Hema's family and friends.  My interactions and fondest memories of Hema are a couple of  years ago, I had just joined Market Access and Hema was reviewing our analytical resources with me.  She was always so kind, helpful, and patient with me when I was onboarding into the RAE role.  Hema you will be missed!

Rest in Peace, Hema. I will miss you a lot, but I know your light will shine on brightly. I will always remember our interactions when we worked together on MAT. I cannot believe that I won’t be seeing that huge smile when we meet, the hugs and happy conversations.

My deepest condolences to her parents, husband Gowtham and son Surya.

My condolences to Hema's family. I first met Hema when I was assigned to a field advisory panel to provide feedback on the design and functionality of an innovative and highly complex market analytics dashboard tool.  We would meet frequently from inception to rollout and I found Hema to be the brightest in the room with an ability to break down complex topics into simple terms.  Hema was a great listener and simply a pleasure to work with and her legacy will live on every time I login to use our MAARC analytics tool that our entire market access organization utilizes.   With deepest sympathy - Mark Walther, Abbvie

I was so sorry to hear about Hema's passing. She was such a smart and caring person. She was  strong and collaborative and she was part of our AbbVie family. Keeping Goutham and Surya in my thoughts and prayers.

I am so sad with this news - I worked with Hema and had several conversations with her when she came back from maternity leave and how hard it was to be a working mother. We helped each other as she was navigating her new dual job of mom and employee. I really loved getting to know her on a personal level and will miss her very much. Such a shiny and happy soul. And way too young to not be here anymore. My heart is heavy.
Will miss sweet Hema.  Such a bright light and  so lucky to have gotten to know her.  Sending love and prayers to her family.
My heart is heavy hearing this news. I had the pleasure of working with Hema and even with some chaotic days and tough conversations, she always brought an energy of calmness. I left every conversation lighter bc of the levity she brought during what could be stressful times. She was so good at what she did and I loved talked to her. We worked together during COVID and to get to know her even virtually was so special. I see her big smile on camera when I think of her. She will truly be missed.
I haven't spoken to Hema in a few years, since I retired in 2020, but I heard the news today about Hema's passing. I just want Hema's family to know what a joy she was to work with and be around. We especially bonded during the time when Hema got engaged -- or should I say FINALLY got engaged --lol! I was there to listen to all her stories of her long-distance relationship, your families, and all the joy of that time of her life. She spoke so lovingly of her husband-to-be, and we had numerous lunches that went way too long as we laughed, and she shared everything. Hema was not only a super bright woman----she was also kind, gentle, and she knew how to say anything and make it sound positive. I loved to be around her. I loved to work with her. And I am so sad to hear this news. Heaven has gained an angel. And we have lost a beautiful soul on this earth. God bless the family, especially Surya.

Hema was smart, intelligent, sweet, affectionate, kind, goofy and a girl’s girl. She was so full of life, empathy, love..it’s heartbreaking to think she’s not with us anymore..but she leaves behind her legacy in her little one..who will grow up  knowing just how cool, how beautiful, how precious his mom was. May god give her family the strength to get through this toughest of time..
