Born January 23, 1940, in Venlo, Holland, and raised in Syracuse, NY, Helwig Frank Van Der Grinten passed away on December 21, 2024, at the age of 84. A fighter to the very end, Helwig miraculously survived a cardiac arrest the previous month, during which he fully coded for 29 minutes. His extraordinary resilience inspired all who knew him.
