I am so sorry for your loss. You are in my thoughts and prayers and I have fond memories of you and Helga at Neighbor to Neighbor.

Helga was a member of our Wednesday Volunteers at Neighbor to Neighbor (8:30 AM to 12:30 PM) we shared many stories & laughs as we unpacked and folder the donations. Helga was my team mate on folding & marking Sheets and shared the correct & easy way to fill the Duvets. Helga was outgoing and a joy to be with, filling our lives with so much happiness. Helga remembered I had a passion for Lighthouses & would always send me a postcard or something relating to Lighthouses, that I cherish. God Rest my NtN friend.

I shared many a hike with Helga in the Sierras, and was honored to have known her. she was a lively, bright and fun companion. She will be missed by her many friends and family.

Helga was a lovely friend and associate. She kept us on our toes at Chanticleer Press, and kept us in touch with each other after Chanticleer ended and we went our various ways by inviting us to get together on many occasions at the Met. Her energy will be missed.

Helga and Renate were my “sisters” when I became a member of the Lose family as an exchange student from California in the summer of 1960. Helga’s passing affects me deeply as were I a blood brother. Rest in peace, dear sister. Love, Norm

Renata,
Your loss is terribly painful. In the coming days you will feel the emptiness and void Helga left you with. What good memories she left all of us with! You need patience, faith and stoicism to overcome your grief, and you have all of that. You have also us, all your friends who are here for you when needed.
It seems that death is hovering around . Yesterday the 19th I lost a nephew, My brother's son passed. He was 42. He went to bed the night before.Next morning his mother found him dead in his bed.
Death is nothing but an episode, the liberation of the soul from the body and a travel in the unknown.
May be Helga is watching . I am sure she misses us as much we miss her.

Helga lived a life with the understanding that to give is to receive - and that is wonderfully reflected in the fullness of hers - from seeing live the Beatles 1st U.S. performance in her 20's- to hiking the Tyrolean Dolomites in her 80's...she always had an amazing positive energy in all she did. Along with thoughts and giving for and to others.
What a legacy....and lesson. Carry on. And Renata likewise.
Auf wiedersehen ; Atlee

Renata,
So sorry to hear about Helga's passing. You two have been such longtime friends of the Astronomical Society and it was always great to see you, not just at our lectures, but at all the other activities you participated in!
With love from Anne Burns and all the astronomers

Dear Renata, am so very sorry for your loss. Helga was such a bright spark, always interested whenever I saw her, asking what was happening in the Middle East and seemed to enjoy hearing my stories. Helga enjoyed the picnics we all joined in at Tods Pt or attending the Shakespeare festival and the walks for Abilis.

A TRUE DEVOTED BEST FRIEND MORE LIKE A FAMILY MEMBER. HER KINDNESS WAS OVERWHELMING. BOTH HELGA AND HER SISTER RENATA WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN FOR THE TIME THEY GAVE UP THEIR BEDROOM FOR ME IN OVER THREE MONTHS OF MY ILLNESS. THEY ARE THE MOST UNSELFISHNESS DEVOTED FRIENDS ONE COULD HAVE, I WAS LUCKY TO BE PART OF THEIR FAMILY. MY SINCERE CONDOLENCES DEAR RENATA. I. AM HERE FOR YOU IF NEED BE.
AS EVER, LOVE, fAYLENNE
