Helene S. Donovan (“Charlie”), aged 79, passed away on May 17, 2023 in Syracuse, NY. She was born on June 29, 1943 to Bill and Ida Stinson in Auburn, NY. She graduated from Pittsford Sutherland High School and continued her studies at the University of Rochester.

Charlie spent much of her adult life in California before returning to New York in her later years. She is predeceased by her son Paul C. Soscia and her sisters Anne Legg, Maura Cerquone, Rosellen McFarland and Rita Stinson. She is survived by her three daughters, Andrée (Rodney) Mastrosimone, Katherine (John) Myers and Elisabeth Soscia along with nine beloved grandchildren and three great grandchildren; sisters Yvonne Cain, Patricia (Peter) Gregoire and Marjorie (Larry) Geiger and her brother William (Janet) Stinson; as well as a host of nieces and nephews. She was known to many for her beautiful smile, quick wit, generosity, sense of humor and fiercely independent and adventurous spirit. 

There will be a private memorial service in her honor later this summer.
