Helen's obituary
Born on November 17, 1938, in Guthrie, Oklahoma, Helen made Beaverton her home for the past 55 years. Her life was marked by a deep and abiding faith, a love and devotion to caring for family and friends, and her passion for the music of the 1950s, gardening and the natural beauty of the Oregon Coast.
After moving with her family from Norman, Oklahoma in the summer of 1957 to Yachats, Oregon Helen began at Oregon State University in the fall. After graduation, she married Keith and began teaching elementary school. In 1969, Lynette arrived. In 1974 Melissa was born. Assisting Keith in his practice, helping at church, and raising her girls were the main hallmarks of her life. She enjoyed working with young children through various ministries throughout the years, babysitting for friends, and showing hospitality to many an overnight guest from out of town.
Helen will be remembered with love by her family: devoted husband, Dr. Keith Larson; daughter Melissa Freeman (Craig) and grandchildren, Luke, and Annika; daughter Lynette Wood (Marc) and grandchildren, Chelsea, and Erika.
