Helen's obituary
Helen E. Kinney passed into eternal life on March 21, 2022, at Trustbridge in WPB, FL.
Helen was born August 17, 1923, at the family home in Auburn, NY. She was the eldest of three children.
Helen married the late Thomas Kinney in 1959 and two children were born from this union. Helen was a devote Christian with a deep faith in Christ and was a long-time member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church in West Palm Beach, FL. Helen worked as an insurance secretary for Turrentine Insurance Agency until her second daughter was born. Returned to work as a teacher’s aide at C.O. Taylor Kirklane Elementary for numerous years, then returned to insurance billing at Dr. Steven Kanner, medical office.
Helen was an avid reader, something she passed down to her children, grand-children, and great- grandchildren. She was a kind, generous and loved cooking and spending time with family and friends.
Helen was a loving and devoted Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother, survived by daughters Patricia Krauss (Robert), and Lori Kinney-Fortier (Jeff). Grandchildren, Shannon Spradling, Samantha Swift, Ashlie Lewis (Zak), and Kaitlyn Hallett (Bobby). Great-Grandchildren, Justin Jesse, Conor & Dylan Lewis, Kadence, Lillie, Annabell Hallett, LeeAnne Mansfield and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Preceded in death by parents Mortin and Edith Crounse, brothers Robert and Don Crounse.
A funeral service is scheduled for 12:30 p.m. on April 24, 2022, at First Evangelical Lutheran Church located at 2740 Parker Ave. West Palm Beach, FL. Reverend Carsten Ludder will officiate. In lieu of flowers, family request donations to Finnish-American Village 1800 South Drive, Lake Worth, FL 33461 or Trustbridge (Hospice) 5300 East Ave. West Palm Beach, FL.
