Helen was a Grande Dame by the time I met her. When my mom was in town, she really enjoyed the times that she was able to visit with her. She thought Helen was witty, funny, and nice. And of course, she was all that, and they did manage to exchange cards and greetings afterwards. My mom and our entire family will miss her.
