Helen Eileen Thompson de Brose passed away on Friday, July 21, 2023. She was born in Leland, Iowa, on September 9, 1930. She graduated from the University of Minnesota and was then hired as Secretary of Foreign Affairs at the U.S. Embassy, from where she was transferred to Montevideo and then to Costa Rica. There she met Wolfgang Paul Brose in 1957, from Bremen, Germany, whom she married. Later, both …
