Heidi's obituary
Heidi Marie Norby, born on April 7, 1985, passed away peacefully at her home in Princeton, Minnesota, on January 16, 2025.
Heidi was the beloved daughter of Colleen Norby and John Kunst. She shared a close bond with her sisters, Heather Norby (Curt Midthun) and Tiffany Peterson (Chad Peterson), as well as her cousin Cassie. Her greatest joy in life was her daughter, Hadley Marie Ashe, affectionately known as "Baby Cakes," who brought endless light and love to Heidi's world. She also treasured the companionship of her best friend and neighbor, Laura.
Known for her vibrant personality and “spicy attitude,” Heidi embraced life with humor and authenticity. She had a knack for finding joy in life’s simple pleasures, like savoring the sweet taste of Mountain Dew through a straw. These moments reflected her ability to appreciate the beauty in everyday experiences.
Heidi had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and embraced activities like fishing and four-wheeling with enthusiasm. She found peace and joy in nature’s beauty. She also had a deep appreciation for live music, which filled her life with rhythm and joy. Her creativity shone through her work in cosmetology, where she enjoyed helping others feel confident and beautiful.
She is survived by her daughter Hadley; her sisters Heather and Tiffany; her nephews Deion Midthun, Eddy Peterson, and Elijah Peterson; and her niece Kali Midthun. Heidi was preceded in death by her parents, Colleen Norby and John Kunst, along with several other cherished family members.
Heidi’s zest for life left an unforgettable impression on all who knew her. May her memory bring comfort to those she touched and inspire them to embrace life with the same passion she did.
