I am heartbroken and devastated to hear of dear Heidi's passing. My deepest sympathies go out to George, Van, Allie, and her entire family. I will remember her as kind, welcoming, generous, fun, vibrant, humorous, adventurous, intelligent, and loving, to name just a few of her many qualities. It was obvious how much she adored and supported her family.  Heidi, we will miss you more than words can say, but your memory will live on in the hearts and minds of your friends and the work that is done at the Belize zoo.  Until we meet again, rest in peace.

I always loved the enthusiastic welcome I recieved anytime I saw Heidi at any function, be it at their house or elsewhere. Heidi is truly a fiery, one-of-a-kind person who made you feel like a vital part of any gathering.  My thoughts are with you George, Van and Allie. May the hole in the space of your lives be filled with the love and many warm memories we all share for Heidi.
