Heavena Rhaeloun (Mitchell) Black, aged 57, passed away unexpectedly on January 17, 2024, in LaGrange, Georgia, with her mother by her side. Her loss is completely unexpected, and her family is profoundly saddened.

Heavena was born on June 1, 1967, in Austin, Texas, to Bobby Gant Sr. and Sirretha Johns. She attended Carver High School in Columbus, GA, and later graduated from West Georgia Technical College.

She is survived by her son, Randee Kyle Mitchell; daughter, Israel Julia-Anna Mitchell; grandson, Andravious "Dre" Anderson; mother, Sirretha Maxwell; three brothers, James Mitchell, Lewis Gant, and Bobby Gant Jr.; sister, Julia Carter; and two nephews, Immanuel Carter and Henri Jefferson. She also leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who brought immense joy to her life. Her father, Bobby Gant Sr., and brother, Courtney Gant, predeceased her.

Heavena's life was a tapestry of love and laughter. Despite facing many challenges, Heavena maintained her humor and faith in humanity. One of her most cherished moments was witnessing her daughter's graduation and subsequent college journey. Such milestones filled her life with fulfillment and purpose.

She faced challenges with grace and humor, leaving a lasting impression on all who knew her quirky personality. She loved dark fantasy movies and binge-watched every episode of Downton Abbey. She had a deep passion for music, particularly Prince's greatest hits, which she considered the soundtrack of her life. 

A Celebration for Heavena will take place on February 10, 2024, at 100 Annes Ln, Sharpsburg, GA 30277, from 3:00 pm to 10:00 pm. All who knew and loved her are invited to join in commemorating a life well-lived and a person deeply cherished. The memories shared, the stories recounted, and the laughter echoed will serve as a testament to the beautiful soul that was Heavena Rhaeloun (Mitchell) Black.

Rest in peace, dear Heavena. You will forever be in our hearts.
