Heather's obituary
Heather Ann fox, was born August 23, 1976. She battled cancer for the last 7 years. February 27, 2024 was the day that ended her fight with her illness. Heather spent the days trying to keep the postal service busy with her fondness for shopping. Heather’s boy Dylan was her world, she loved him with all her heart. Her family was so important to her, we feel like she loved all of our kids more then she even liked us. She spent her time finding ways of spoiling all the boys. Whether it was Easter, Christmas, Birthdays, or just a Wednesday, Heather always had to go above and beyond. She was passionate about her career. She obtained two college degrees as a single mom, with the help of her beloved babysitter and father, Dan. She worked her way up from the very bottom, all the way to becoming an Agriculture Specialist at McCain Foods. She absolutely loved her job and all the people she worked with.
When Heather was diagnosed with cancer the very first thing she told said was there will be no crying, “I don’t have time for crying!” She gave us a new perspective of strength. From the beginning to the end the surgeries, the treatments, the medicines, the pain she was in Heather never complained about any of it. She didn’t step through her journey, she went into everyday stomping and pushing her way to the other side. When people told her how much of a fighter she was it would make her so mad, all she would say was I’m not fighting any harder than anyone else.
Although Heather was never married, she did have a soulmate. They truly loved one another, after the day they meet they were never apart. Her black lab Sig’s puppy dog eyes melted Heather’s heart and after that, they were in love. Heather lost Sig last fall. She also loved her dad, who we lost in the summer of 2021. Heather, go meet up with Dad and Sig and find yourselves some something to explore, and all kinds of Diet Coke and ice.
Heather is survived by her baby boy Dylan Fox of Washburn; mother Cindy Hafford of Fort Fairfield; her sister Dani and husband Reggie Keiser with their son Houston and his fiancé Haley and son Kaisen of Holland Texas; her brother Daniel (Dwight) and his wife Jessica Hafford with their two boys Daniel and Coleman of Searsmont and her brother Bill Hafford and girlfriend Sara Mayo with their boys Vasiley and Ethan of Manchester. Also her dependable chauffer, Debi Hafford and her partner in crime, Lawana Mckenzie. The amount of people that she loved and loved her could go on forever.
