I don’t remember the exact day I met Heather, but I do remember the circumstances. I used to live downstairs from Heathers sister, Megan. We were all like our own little hot mess of a family in that condominium complex lol, but we loved each other and all our kids hung out together. When I had met Heather at Megan’s place, I couldn’t help but laugh 😂 You could definitely see the family resemblance between all three of the sisters, Sara, Megan, and Heather. Even tho Sara and Megs were identical twins (and I mean IDENTICAL), you seem to forget that Heather was their older sister, once you throw all three in a room together they look like triplets! However, their personalities differed greatly. As we all know, Megan was the tough one and she wasn’t shy about it. I could here her speaking all the way downstairs, she wouldn’t even be yelling, just talking about whatever. She was so eccentric and I would literally get dizzy watching her because she could never sit still, she always had to be doing something. (Poster child for A.D.H.D.) (love ya Megs!🤣)
Sara was the ‘mother’ of the pack. She was a planner, the organized one, the workaholic, the analytical one. She is the one you go to for real practical advice and boy did she voice her opinion to the pack, lol. Not that they ever listened 🤣
When I met Heather, I saw someone different. She seemed to genuinely where her heart on her sleeve. she had this ability to take in other peoples feelings and emotions, kind of like a sponge. I can’t imagine the flood of emotions that flooded her on the daily. She loved and she loved fiercely.
I don’t know why I said all that, I just came here to tell a story of Heather when she broke her wrist, lol. I still remember Heather walking into Megan’s with her little wrist cast and crying. She showed everyone her arm and just cried and kept saying “I’m broken, I’m broken” 😞 I can still see her in her Broncos Jersey and her jean shorts and pristinely white sneakers looking all adorable as always and making sure everybody gave her hug.. she sure did love giving hugs 🤗 She was fearfully and wonderfully made, she was a true blessing to everyone who had the honor to meet her. Now she is free, to never be broken again, made whole in Jesus.
Heather, Thank you for the fun times, the BBQ’s, and for truly loving every body you came in contact with. You are already very missed. The hardest part of this all is the separation of three sisters. But I trust that you and Megs are still with Sara and that bond can never be broken.
And though a man might prevail against one who is alone, two will withstand him—a threefold cord is not quickly broken. (Ecclesiastes 4:12)
Heather, Megan and Sara, you will always and forever be that threefold cord.
The world lost a part of its splendor when you left us..
