William Heath Race, Jr., 57, passed away at home May 31, 2020. He grew up in Grosse Pointe, MI and graduated from Grosse Pointe South High in 1982. Then went on to University of Arizona. He was a member of the Phi Delta Theta fraternity and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in 1986. From there he lived in southern California, Chicago, and Boston before settling in Sarasota, Florida. He worked in software sales. Heath was extremely kind and generous, had a great sense of humor, loved practical jokes, and could entertain a room. His favorite pastimes were fishing and golf. He leaves behind his mother, Janis Race; sisters, Amy Massey with husband John, Mimi Foley with husband Joe, Tish Renz with husband Bill; nieces and nephews, Samantha, Justin, Crystal, Spencer. There is peace in knowing Heath has been reunited with his father, William Heath Race, whom he adored.
