Hazel's obituary
After a difficult battle with Lung cancer, Hazel E. Hampton passed away peacefully on 04/16/2022 surrounded by her loved ones.
Born in Columbia, SC. to the late Robert Eddie Jenerette and Edna Mae Jenerette.
Hazel was one of the strongest, loyal, independent mother anyone could have asked for. Hazel was our biggest supporter. Our family would not be where it is today if we didn’t have Hazel as a mother.
Hazel graduated from Eau Claire High School. She attend Columbia Junior College and received her certification for medical assistant. She work for Chick-fil-A, as a manager until she retired in 2014
Hazel was predeceased by Her brother Jackie Jenerette (09/2007), sister Stephanie Burns( 03/2014), mother Edna Mae Jenerette (07/2015), son John Earl Hampton (02/2020) and oldest brother Edward Cornelius Jenerette (06/2020).
She leaves behind her children Alonda Hampton-Petty (Michel ), Rolonda Hampton-Mims, and Regina Baker. One brother Tony Jenerette (Shirley). Grandchildren Kennetha Hampton, Octavia Hampton, Avery Hampton, Reginald Mims, Kameron Mims, Jaylen Scott, Breanna Williams. Great grandchildren Amar'e Ross, Aaron Ross Jr., Nora Oestricher, Preston Belton. A host of nieces and nephews
Services will be held at JP Holley Funeral Home and Crematory NE Chapel on Farrow Road on 04/26/2022.
