Granny Nell always called me her 'Little Toughy'. I was never really sure of why she dubbed me that name, did she drop me when I was little and sucked it up? Did she see me fall out of a tree and before she could get to me, I was climbing back up? I don't know, but every time I thought of her in my travels I did my best to live up to the name... Save me a seat Granny, I've got a few more roads to tough it through before I see you again.

I knew Nell through her daughter, Debbie. Gary and I were impressed that Nell was so active in her later years. She also did her part to make the world a better place than she found it. For example, I know she would walk to a nearby park and pick up debris other people left behind, not for praise or recognition but simply because it needed to be done.
She was an incredibly strong and independent woman that I came to know and appreciate as Debbie shared her stories of Nell.
I know her dear family and friends will miss her and we pray the wonderful memories you share of her will help lessen your sorrow at her loss.
