Hazel's obituary
Hazel Ann Chambers was born on March 10, 1933, in St. Ann, Jamaica, W.I. She peacefully passed away at home on April 26, 2022, in Fort Lauderdale, FL.
Born to Wilhelmina and Andrew Clarke, Hazel spent her childhood among her many siblings. Hazel married Clinton Chambers, and relocated with their children to Menlo Park, CA in the 1960s. There she pursued a career in the medical field, ultimately retiring from Stanford University Hospital. Hazel eventually moved to Ft. Lauderdale, FL, where she resided happily in a climate closer to her birthplace of Jamaica.
Hazel was truly a beautiful soul. Love emanated from everything she did, whether it be sewing a special outfit to whipping up a delicious meal. She adored spending time with her family, tending to her garden and dancing. Most important to Hazel was her relationship with the Lord. She had an unfailing love for God and steadfast devotion which was present in her final days.
Hazel is survived by her brother: Wilbert “Claude” Clarke; five children: Clifton Clarke, Berelyn Chambers, Lambert Chambers, Peter Chambers and Jami al-Mansur; grandchildren, great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces, and friends.
