Haskel's obituary
Born to Roger and Yvette Martinez on October 7th, 1995 in San Francisco, CA; he lived a life where “to the fullest” would be an understatement. Having found success throughout his entire life, his skills ranged from sportsman to technical engineer and so much more in-between. His little league championship in 2003 would commence his phenomenal career in astonishing accomplishments. Even before graduating from Eastside High School in Taylors, SC, he was fruitfully helping manage and engineer at his family corporation, Roma Media Group, founded in August 2010, alongside his father. By October 2014, his technical prowess was proven unmatched for someone at his age, coming out of South Carolina; as many professionals in both the english and spanish radio industry can tell you. Furthermore, his passion for business and achievements helped grow RMG, inc in ways many had never seen before; down to beating out the competition by September 2019 and leading in the spanish radio industry in the upstate of South Carolina.
More importantly, he was the most genuine and caring human being anyone would or could ever meet. From his most earnest handshake to his infectious positivity- he made sure to leave his signature wherever he went by just being himself. Any person having met Haskel will hold true to that testament; as many in the community have come together to celebrate his life and remember the joy he brought to every single person he met. He was a music aficionado and found the utmost pleasure in his work and various personal technological projects. He took pride is his firearm collecting and curating; including worthwhile investments in the aforementioned industry. He loved the thrill of seeking success and, ultimately, reaching his goals time and again. He enjoyed music down to his soul and loved to expand his social circle. Above everything and all, he loved.
He is survived by his parents, Roger and Yvette Martinez; his brothers, Jair, Hiram and Raynor Martinez; his sister, Jesarela Horn; his girlfriend, Madeleine Sanders; and his grand-parents, Hector and Irma Diaz.
A visitation is planned for Saturday, August 29, 2020, from 3 PM to 6 PM at Mackey Funerals in Greenville, SC. A funeral service follows at 6 pm. Pastor Dos Santos will officiate his ceremony. Flowers, donations and condolences may be offered at 19 Mercer Dr, Simpsonville, SC 29681.
