Harry's obituary
Harry "Tony" Robin, also known as Tony but who preferred Harry, was born on June 21, 1960, and passed away on January 18, 2026. He was a warm and loving man, known for his jovial personality and infectious laughter, despite challenging health issues. His favorite colors were red and blue, and he was an enthusiastic supporter of the Brazil Soccer Team. Harry was a coffee lover, and his charm and personality were as robust and inviting as his favorite drink.
Harry graduated from Highland High School, New York in 1979 and later earned an Associate in Science from California in 1990. His promising career in mechanism engineering was abruptly disrupted when he was diagnosed with Guillain Barre Syndrome. Despite this setback, Harry displayed remarkable courage and determination, continually striving to achieve his goals.
The wisdom that Harry often shared reflected his character: "To live simply and to love God and each other." In his life and interactions with others, he exemplified this principle, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, affection, and courage.
Predeceased by his father, Emmanuel Robin, Harry leaves behind his brother, Yves-Marie Robin. His loss will also be deeply felt by his closest friend, Michelle and her 4 grown children and 6 grandchildren and numerous friends who cherished his company, and a host of nephews and nieces. His life touched many, and he will be sorely missed.
A memorial service in honor of Harry will be held on April 18, 2026, at 10:00 PM in Columbia. It will be an occasion to celebrate a life lived with resilience, love, and an enduring sense of humor.
