I went to Facebook to wish my Friend, Harry, a Happy Birthday, I learned that he has passed away. We worked together for years at the Mailbox in it's various forms. He was the best. I learned a lot from Harry, and I believe we made a positive difference.
Prayers for Family and Friends. Rest in Peace, Mi Amigo.
It's a sad day at my house.

I remember when you guys had us over for dinner and he was so patient with the boys, even with Carlos and all of his talking and let them watch Green Acres with him. There was this hilarious moment after Harry had given Carlos some gum where Carlos came to me and pointed to Harry saying, "That guy told me I could swallow my gum!"
Our prayers and condolences with you and your family at this time.
Love,
The Hodson Family

I can’t remember Harry without a grin or smile on his face. When I think of Harry, the very first thing that comes to my mind is the 40 nights that several of us adults in the home church spent together at the Kidd’s home. All of the children were at our house with Melody and Bekah caring for them. Because of his job, Harry had access to every address in The Colony. If you remember way back then, the computer printed off these very wide sheets of paper with holes on the sides and every sheet was connected and folded together accordion style. The printing on them was rather small, and the printout he brought home was a very thick stack. I don’t remember if we actually set out to do this for 40 days, and I could be wrong, but it seemed like that’s how long it took us to go through all of the addresses and we found that profound. This was better than going through a telephone book because it included all those people that had unlisted numbers. I think we spent two hours each evening together. We took turns reading the names/addresses on the printout, while everyone else did as the the Lord led them: sing a song, read aloud scripture, pray, play an instrument, etc., but everyone was doing something. And even though everybody was doing something different, it was all in one accord and sounded heavenly! Such a powerful time spent in the presence of the King of kings! I will never forget those 40 days. I’ve often reflected back on those days and thought about how cool it was that God gave Harry that kind of access and that he and Cindy opened up their home for us to be able to pray over the city.

So many things to say but one of my favorite memories are with Tucker and Zaiden on the tractor with pappa Harry. As soon as the boys would realize pappa was up and out there they were too

We were on a camping vacation to the Grand Canyon with the Butts Family. The kids were all excited about possibly finding some relics to take home. Harry went to the gift shop at the campground and bought every arrow head they had on the shelf. He returned to our campsite and sprinkled/ covered them in sand around our shared fire ring. That afternoon the kids started finding them and just knew they had struck gold!

Harry and I flew to Atlanta that year to spend Christmas with his family. He was very proud to pull out this very long, obviously heavy, wrapped box for me on Christmas morning. It was a garage door opener! I think it cost almost as much to ship it home as he paid for it.
