Dear Brooks, family

I am so very sorry for the loss of Harriett death brings an unbearable pain to our lives and as times passes all that is left is a gaping hole that seems will never be closed. I wanted to share a magnificent hope that God has in store for mankind. A beautiful promise that will soon be fulfilled and rejoice the heart of many. John 5:28,29 says Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out. Soon that gaping hole that is left will be closed and filled with the loving embrace of Harriett, May this promise give hope you and strength to continue..

I can't believe I am writing this. Rest in Heaven with the sound of "soft joyful music" as your life soundtrack. I love and miss you!!!

BONNIE

To a Lady with a Gentle Heart and a Gentle Spirit and a Gentle Soul, who was sent from God and Touched our Hearts and by knowing her peacefulness made many Whole, and now she has gone back to God to join the many Family Members of the Fold, who we all Loved who are gone before and have entered the door that Jesus holds, for all to enter who knows Him as the Greatest Story Ever Told.

My Condolences to my Cousin and Family

God Bless!

“Come on and let’s dance before the rush comes in!” This was the tradition Miss Bonnie and I had when we worked. She played Michael Jackson and we danced together. We had to get hyped up for our shift because working at night could be a little intense at times. We made it work and it was beautiful, fun, and challenging all at once. This was Miss Bonnie’s essence mixed in with love. This is what I’ll take with me, along with her advice and laughter. Sweet Miss Bonnie, I will miss you, that smile, and your presence Rest well Miss Bonnie. Sending my heartfelt condolences to the family.

Bonnie and I were cousins through marriage (Graves/Hill). She and I were a year apart in age and spent alot of time together during high school. We shared a passion for music, poetry, Black power advocacy, nature, and had a deep love for one other.  We were definitely sister spirits. Bonnie wrote a beautiful poem during that time about how moved she was by my flute playing that I still have and cherish to this day.  I remember thinking even then, that Bonnie was, as many others have shared, very generous with her emotions toward others and a powerful and beautiful force. During our adult Iives, we would touch base by phone every year or so, picking up as though we never skipped a beat when hearing one another's voices. About 20 years ago during a visit to the DC area where I settled, she visited me and we hugged for practically an hour!!  I am saddened that i didn’t make time to spend with Bonnie in person these last few years and I will miss her being a present spirit to me. However, I will honor her and speak to her with my heart every day going forward.  Sincere condolences and love to her brilliant son, Arthur, and the rest of the family.

To Bonnie’s family:

Bonnie was a very special person, and we will all miss her.

My condolences for the family. Bonnie was very caring and helpful especially at work. I enjoyed working with Bonnie at Kaiser Permanente . We shared stories about our AKA experiences and exchanged pink and green pens all the time . God has gained a great soul. She will be deeply missed. Love Wanda
I was privileged to work with Bonnie at Kaiser Permanente.  She was a joy to be around and was always quick with a laugh or story.  She called me about once a year or so and we would catch up.  I will miss those conversations.  Love you, Bonnie
My condolences to Bonnie's family. Mrs. Bonnie was a mentor to me. She always had wisdom to share from past experiences, she has supported me in every endeavor of my life thus far, she motivated me to never settle and go for what I want in life and she was like my work mom but turned into family. I will truly miss our talks, laughs, heart to hearts and especially our hugs. Love Jasmine McClendon
