Harold's obituary
Harold was born on January 28, 1956 to Chester Nash and Rosemary Smith in St. Louis, Missouri. He was the eldest of their three children from that union. It was told at a young age, Harold purchased a guitar and taught himself to play. He often loved to collect and play music in his home.
In his primary years, Harold attended St. Louis Public schools and graduated from Beaumont High School. He has worked various jobs throughout the years, but most of his experience is known as a trucker. He later retired from a local trucking company in the early 2000s.
Family remembers “Harry” for his passion for music and talented skills playing the bass guitar. He played in a band for many years, where they often hosted rehearsals in the basement of his home. Often times, family was in attendance and partied to the music. Harold was outgoing and very sociable. He was a foodie at heart and loved local St. Louis staples as well as cooking. Loved ones knew he was the person to host a barbecue and cook your favorite “Q-king Burgers.” He was also a member of a local van club.
In his later years, he became a member of Mercy Seat Baptist Church and played the bass guitar for the choir.
Harold was preceded in death by Catherine Smith (grandmother), Chester Nash (father), James Smith (uncle), and James Nash (brother).
Harold will be remembered by his mother Rosemary Robinson, sister Christina Gordon, son Mason Nash (Tamika Nash), daughter Vernita Nash, grand-daughters Brooklynn and Madison, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, friends, and loved ones.
