Harold Calvin McCallister, born on August 1, 1923, in Sullivan, Missouri, passed away on April 26, 1988, in Clearwater, Florida. He was 64 years old. Harold, a loving father, grandfather, and brother, will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
Harold, known for his love for his grandkids, cherished every moment spent with them. He was a father to his children, Sharon Pierce, Eugene McCallister and Marvin McCallister, and took great pride in being a grandfather to Melissa Sue, Anthony, Jason, Christina, and Casey.
Harold served his country as a Staff Sergeant in the Army and was a World War II Veteran. His dedication and commitment to his military associations were commendable and greatly appreciated. After his military service, Harold pursued a career as an Engineer Machinist, where he showcased his skills and expertise.
In his free time, Harold enjoyed indulging in his hobbies, which included hunting, fishing, horseback riding and playing the guitar. These activities brought him immense joy and allowed him to relax and unwind.
A ceremony to honor Harold's life will be held at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery on November 17, 2023, where he will be laid to rest with full military honors. This occasion will serve as a testament to Harold's service to his country and the impact he had on those around him.
