Harold's life was marked by service and love. After early days swimming in the Ohio River, he enlisted in the Air Force and was stationed at March Air Force Base, where fate led him to meet his beloved wife, Gloria, at a military dance. Their union blessed them with three children: Ann, Elizabeth, and James.
As a dedicated educator within the LAUSD for 32 years, Harold found fulfillment in shaping young minds, leaving an indelible mark on countless students whom he inspired and mentored. Beyond the classroom, he found solace in the gentle sport of golf, the timeless allure of old westerns, and the simple joy of taking his granddaughters fishing in Bishop.
Harold or as his air force friends would call him, “HH” will be remembered for his larger-than-life personality, marked by a charming stubbornness that endeared him to all who knew him. His devotion to his family was unwavering, always placing their needs above his own.
He leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter, survived by his children, granddaughters Katherine and Kimberly, great-granddaughter Charlotte, and a host of family and friends who will cherish his memory.
