Harold "Butch" Hopkins, Jr., 65, of Columbia, MD passed away on August 26, 2022, doing what he loved most, riding his motorcycle. Harold grew up in Sandy Spring, a town he loved and never abandoned. He worked in home improvement before his passing, but was known as the local mechanic, and a jack of all trades in his earlier years. He enjoyed socializing, riding his bike, and most of all, his family. He had a multitude of close friends. Harold will be dearly missed and always remembered.

Harold was predeceased by his father, Harold Hopkins Sr., his brother Tony Hopkins, and Brother Everette Humphrey. He is survived by his wife, Lynn Hopkins, Mother, Mary Estep-Hopkins, His children, Shameka Gibson (Marquinn Gibson),  Lynell Hopkins, Joseph Dorsey, Tia Ortiz (Jose Ortiz), Siblings Hope Hopkins, Timothy Charles, & Vanny Charles, Sister in-law Janine Johnson, Brother in-law Bruce Steward, 7 Grandchildren, 3 Great-Grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other close family.

Harold desired a celebration of life be held in his honor as opposed to traditional funeral services. We request all of Harold’s loved ones to join us in celebrating his beautiful life at Columbia Community Church on September 3rd, 2022. The Viewing will be held from 11:00 am - 2:00 pm. A Memorial will follow at 2:00 pm - 3:00. The Repass/Celebration will follow the memorial and will be held at the Legion in Catonsville, MD at 5:00 pm - until
