Harold's obituary

Harold Hebert, 75, of Fort Worth, TX passed away peacefully on December 30, 2023, surrounded by his family and loved ones. Harold was born in Fort Worth, Tx on January 14, 1948, where he later graduated from Texas Wesleyan University with a BA in Business and Economics in 1970. Harold worked for General Services Administration in real estate and historic preservation for 36 years. He also served on the boards of Amy Biehl Charter High School in Albuquerque, NM and Upward Hope Academy in Galveston, Tx where his expertise was instrumental in the formation of the schools and their charters. Harold enjoyed photography and having lively conversations with young people, as well as never seeing a train he didn't want to stop to take a picture of.  

Harold was also very active in his faith and was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church and a charter member of Island Men’s Fellowship in Galveston.

Harold was predeceased by his father Maurice, mother Wilna and brother Maurice Jr. He is survived by beloved wife Cynthia Hebert, daughter Karen Rutledge (Shawn), son John Hebert (Melissa), son Benjamin Oberg (Alicia), son Jacob Oberg, (Rachel) and son Andrew Oberg (Elba) as well as grandchildren Kenneth, Ryan, Dominic, Destiny, Samantha and Charly. Join us in celebrating Harold's life at Fort Worth Presbyterian Church on Friday January 19 at 2pm. followed by a brief reception at the church  

Harold's was a life well lived, he was a man well-loved and will be well missed by all whose lives he touched.
