Deacon Harold Deon Gurley, son of the late Walter and Mildred “Milburn” King Gurley was born December 29, 1944. He entered into eternal life Wednesday, February 7, 2007 at the VA Medical Center Hospital, Fayetteville, NC.
Inducted into the Army at the age of 17, he served two tours of duty in Vietnam in the United States Army Special Forces, colloquially know as the “Green Berets” due to their distinctive service headgear. While assigned as …
