I never met Hal when he wouldn’t stop what he was doing and ask how I was doing. I can’t remember ever seeing him without a smile on his face. He was a kind, hardworking man. He influenced many lives. My deepest sympathy to his family.

I am so sad to hear of Hal’s passing and I send my sincere condolences to his precious family! I lived next door to Hal, Martha and their children in Waxhaw for several years! Words cannot express my gratitude for the love they showed to me and my children! Hal was truly an angel on earth when my family was struggling. He was always there to help, whether it was mowing our lawn weekly without even being asked or connecting our house to his generator during power outages. He was such a gentle loving man with a huge heart and a smile that shined for Jesus! I’m praying for peace and strength for his family and I hope that his beautiful memories bring comfort to them all!

I am praying for both the Cail and Miller families at this bittersweet time. Hal has gained so much but you feel such loss. I went to high school with Hal and Sharon and I will always remember Hal as the really cute, always smiling, sincerely nice, soccer playing, red-head that everyone loved.
