Hardy Antonio Nieto, 52, of Healdsburg, CA passed away unexpectedly on July 26, 2025. He was born in Lakeport, CA on May 27, 1973 to parents Tom Nieto and the late Lorie (Taylor) Nieto.

He was the beloved partner of Barbara Baugh for 24 years. Hardy is survived by his father, Tom; brother, Travis; sister-in-law, Jun; nephews, Aidan & Matthew; nieces, Elaina, Alora & Andrea; and aunts, Kathy (Mike) DeLeon, Cammie (Neal) Grasteit, Cindy Ramos, Linda Garcia, & family friend (Aunt) Sue. He had many close cousins in many states. Ones he saw often in Lakeport were…Hugo, Ramona, Juanita, Moses, Leia & Ken.

Hardy’s sudden passing of a heart attack has left his family and many friends heartbroken and in shock. He will be deeply missed also by pets he rescued, Torpedo “Schipperke dog” and Pocket “calico Main Coon” who was a tiny kitten that jumped in his pocket in Lake County so of course he had to bring her home.

Hardy will be remembered for his kind heart, adventurous spirit, and constant curiosity about all areas of nature. His home was always open to friends. He and Barbara traveled to many far away places so he always had new stories to share.
