It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Mr. Hank Mercer, a devoted family man, farmer and sports enthusiast, on March 24, 2025. Born on July 5, 1945, Hank lived a life filled with strength, warmth, love, and dedication deeply lived and appreciated.
He leaves behind his beloved wife of many decades, Rose Mercer, who enriched his daily life with love and companionship. His legacy continues through their children, Erik Mercer, and Emma Evans, and the joy of his life, his grandchildren, Dustin and Rachel Mercer. He also leaves behind his caring daughter-in-law, Michelle Mercer, and his brother, Harold Mercer, who mirrored his love for farming and the familial bond.
Hank was predeceased by his parents, Steve and Cheryl Mercer, and his brother, Henry Mercer. Their memories always warmed his heart and guided his path all through his life. Hank was indeed a family man, and his loss will leave a void that cannot be filled.
Being a lifelong supporter of the Baltimore Ravens, Hank loved nothing more than catching the game on a Sunday afternoon. His strong and enduring personality made him a pillar in the community. Hank's favorite pastime was farming – a recreational activity that he transformed into a living testament of his hard work and dedication. He proudly ran the family farm, a feat that stands as one of his greatest accomplishments.
Hank Mercer was a remarkable man who touched the lives of many with his strength, warmth, and unwavering commitment to his family and farm. As we mourn his loss, we also celebrate his life and the indelible mark he left in our hearts. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
There will be a celebration of life held on family property, followed by a private family service on April 1st, 2025. We appreciate the outpouring of love and support for our family during this difficult time.
