While I never had the pleasure of meeting Hamed, I do know Voke through a mutual friend and while we have only met and communicated briefly, I was so taken with her kind heart and intelligence. When our mutual friend, Dr. Ololade Reis, told me of the family's loss, I was very saddened for Voke and her family. May God bless you all and shine his light upon you, especially in this time of grieving. Blessings and hugs, Voke.

Taken from us much too soon.  I feel so very lucky to have gotten to know and spend time with Hamed.   I will miss very much Hamed’s amazing smile and the fun easy going way he lived his life.   

My thoughts and prayers go out to Hamed’s  family and friends - especially Efe, Hamed’s parents, and his two brothers.

May he Rest In Peace

We are deeply saddened by the news of Hamed's passing. He was an outstanding member of PREP 9's Contingent XX and a leading member of the Prep for Prep community. Hamed was a young man of exceptional promise. His loss will be felt not only by his family and his community but, ultimately. by the world.

Hamed had an incredible energ…
Hamed had an incredible energy that always lifted my spirits. I am extremely fortunate to have shared deep and meaningful experiences with him over the years. My closest friends are always in my thoughts, inspiring me to do better for the time I have left on this earth.

2021, Franchesca and Mervin’s House
At Franchesca and Mervin’s housewarming, Mervin told both Hamed and I that we could be DJ. However, we each thought we were the SOLE person responsible for playing dope music. Both deeply passionate about our role, we began an epic DJ battle. Who won? Well, it depends on who you ask, but it was definitely a thrill and a good laugh. I am grateful for these laughs. While we did not know each other very well, the joy Hamed brought with him will be missed.
