Haley's obituary
Haley Marie Woods, age 26, of Kuna, Idaho, had a heart bigger than the good she found in all people. Her boundless compassion for others and the strength she displayed while fighting her own depression inspired all who knew her. Haley left behind her emotional pain on Saturday, October 4, 2025.
Haley was born on July 23, 1999 in Baker City, Oregon to Stephanie and Darin Woods. From the moment she arrived, she filled the world with warmth, joy, and an abundant love that she carried throughout her life. Haley was raised with her older sister in Kuna, Idaho within a blended family of two households with extended love for her. She graduated from Initial Point High school in 2016. Haley found passion in caring for others — working in childcare, with the elderly, and animals.
Above all else, Haley was a devoted mother. Her greatest joy came from her children — who will forever carry her legacy within them. She also held a deep and enduring love for her son, Harrison Edward Woods-Shurtz, who passed away in 2020 at just 11 months old. Those who knew Haley, take comfort in believing she is now reunited with Harrison in peace.
Haley’s family was the heart of her world. She cherished family dinners, bedtime snuggles, and the small, everyday moments that made life meaningful. Her beautiful dimpled smile was her favorite quality about herself. Haley enjoyed singing, cooking, baking, and all forms of art. She made the world around her bright and colorful.
She will be remembered for her fierce, protective, devotion as a mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend, alongside her ability to make others feel deeply loved and understood. Though her journey was marked by challenges, her compassion and care never wavered.
Haley is survived by her beloved children, Emerson and Rekkon; her stepson, Athon; her parents, Darin Woods, Stephanie and Robert Skaggs; her siblings, Shelby (Cody) Henigman, Chris Skaggs, Stephanie (Shay) Skaggs, and Tim (Emma) Skaggs; her nephews, Grey and Ash Skaggs, Leo and Louis Henigman; her Grandmother, Charlotte Landers, and several aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and loved ones who will continue to honor her memory by living with the same love she showed to others.

Though her time with us was far too short, Haley’s love will live on in her children, in every life she touched, and in the hearts of those who will never forget the joy she brought to this earth.
