Gabriel's obituary

G.W. “Gabriel” Whitfield III was born on April 27, 1987, to G.W. “Rody” Whitfield II and Penny Kemper Whitfield in Georgetown, Texas. He was raised in Jarrell, Texas, where he graduated from high school.

As a child, Gabriel loved playing outside and swimming, playing video games, listening to music, and watching action movies. These were also his favorite activities as an adult, and he shared these hobbies with his family and friends.

After high school, Gabriel studied business and marketing at ACC and started a successful career in sales, eventually ending up at Dell in Round Rock, where he was an award-winning account manager. His career achievements included a multi-million dollar deal, a 4-quarter average of 109%, and two-time Team Champion.

Outside work, Gabriel was known for his love of the outdoors, motorcycles, and dogs, his love of dancing and attending concerts with friends, his love for Halloween, and his passion for fitness. Gabriel’s personal achievements include NFF Mens Physique Pro, two-time Physique Champion, Tough Mudder finisher, and Spartan Race finisher.

Gabriel’s life goal was to motivate and inspire others to improve their lives through fitness and healthy living. He had been sober for six years and was always willing to share his story to encourage others on that path.

Above all else, he was dedicated to his two children. Gabriel became a father in 2007 when his daughter Clara was born, and his son Tristan was born in 2019. His children were his greatest joy.

In honor of her father, Clara asks that you plant a tree or do something kind to the earth, or that you donate to the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline fundraiser, which can be accessed on Gabriel’s Facebook page.

There is a diaper drive benefitting baby Tristan at LifePoint Church in Hutto, Texas, for size 4 diapers, any brand.

There will be a celebration of Gabriel’s life on Friday, September 20th, 2019, from 4-8 pm at Georgetown Event Center. There will be pizza and iced tea, and a dance floor will be provided for all who knew and loved Gabriel to come together to honor his life with a night of fun and music. The family extends an invitation to anyone who knew him and would like to attend. Anyone with a story to share about Gabriel is also welcome to do so at the service.

In lieu of flowers, anyone wishing to make a donation benefitting his children can do so through a Go Fund Me fundraiser by Gabriel's coworkers at Dell. https://www.gofundme.com/f/ga…
