Guy's obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Guy Nelson Kramer, age 72, on Monday, February 16, 2026, in Torrance, California. Guy was born on December 16, 1953, in San Gabriel Valley, to loving parents Jack and Inez Kramer.
Rooted in Southern California, with a majority of that time being in Torrance, Guy’s most meaningful years of his life were spent raising his two children, Chad, born in 1983, and Kristina, born in 1987. Family was everything to him, and he cherished the time spent with his children.
Guy, a 1971 graduate of Torrance High School, went on to build a diverse career that began in the glass industry, continued at Garrett Air Research, and concluded with two decades (1994 to 2014) as Facilities Manager at First Lutheran Church and School.
During his time at First Lutheran Church and School, he ran the lunch and script program, the student store, and opened and operated the Bookstore. He also had the privilege of working where his children attended school, allowing him to be an even more dedicated and present father, exemplifying commitment and integrity in every role he took on.
Retirement allowed Guy to pursue his interests—enjoying the company of his beloved dogs, Nike and Jordyn, indulging his love for suspenseful thrillers and mystery novels, and watching sporting events with family. He was often found on the sidelines, cheering on his grandchildren at their sports and theatrical events, always the proud and devoted grandfather.
Guy is preceded in death by his mother and father and beloved pets Bootsie, Sainter, Lacey, Nike, and Jordyn.
He leaves to cherish his memory, brother Mark (Judy), son Chad (Jennifer), daughter Kristina (Francis), and grandchildren, Zakary, Kailer, and Kylene, who will forever cherish the memories they shared.
