Guy's obituary
Guy Bradford Farrow, 70, of Beaumont, went to be with Father, July 14, 2024. He was born February 26, 1954, to Carlolyn Jane Thrash and Louis Standland Farrow.
He was the eldest son of 3 children and father to 5 children. Guy was a skilled and gifted carpenter most of his life but the people that knew him remember he dabbled in various things. He was a dreamer and always had a plan to build something, grow something or travel somewhere. He enjoyed hiking in the Utah mountains, cliff diving in Kauai, canoeing down Village Creek, camping and fiddling with his massive collection of projects. He loved discussing a good conspiracy theory with anyone that would listen. Guy loved Harleys, and I am positive he is on one now. Guy was a huge fan of Pink Floyd and because of MANY late-night sessions, his kids and eldest granddaughter are continuing to listen to the band. He was a lover of music in general and felt that music spoke words he couldn’t fully articulate at times. He was a proud Southpark Greenie but graduated from Lumberton after transferring his senior year. He even turned the fight song into the “Farrow Family Chant”. Guy and his son, Joshua, camped and hiked Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico. This was one of his fondest memories. Throughout his life he had struggles but no matter what, he always showed up to every baseball game, dance recital, band concert, football halftime shows and performance his kids had. He wasn’t always perfect, but he loved his family in the best way he could and tried to be there for them despite everything. He will be remembered, and the world is a little less full now that he has departed.
Guy is survived by his wife of 50 years, Colleen Ann Clark Farrow; mother Carolyn Jane Thrash; son, Joshua Strong Farrow, and 2 daughters, Chasity Marie Farrow-Graves and Heather Nicole Farrow-Brewer; 5 granddaughters, Star Aroura Farrow (Michelle Marie Gray), Peyton Elisabeth Farrow, Kendall Bree Farrow, Marley Caridee Farrow and Blakelee Chanel Blevins; adopted brother Ronald Kiley Odom Farrow; step-mother Cheryl Farrow, and countless nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.
He is proceeded in death by his dad, Louis Standland Farrow; brother Timothy Scott Farrow and 2 children, Daniel Abinadi Farrow and Carie Charice Farrow.
Guy had chosen to donate his body to science and once his remains are returned, the family will have a celebration of life to be determined at a later date.
