Guy's obituary
Guy is survived by his loving wife, Lisette Bedard; his children and their spouses Guylaine Rachel (Jeff), Ronnie Brouillard (Beth), Joy Thompson (Randy), Melanie Brouillard (Brandon Miller); step-children Ricky Bedard (Maria), Michelle Bedard (Les), Danielle Antonelli (Gino); and a multitude of blessed grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Each family member carries with them a part of Guy's generous spirit and love.
Guy was predeceased by his parents, Avila Brouillard and Blanche Menard, and his siblings Therese Guay, Rejeanne Boivin, Raymond, Normand, Andre, Gerard, and twin brother, Gilles Brouillard, and granddaughter Taylor Brouillard.
Guy moved to Rockville, Maryland in 1963, and began working at P&P Contractors, Inc., where he would spend a fulfilling 38-year career, before retiring as Superintendent in 2001. His various moves took him to Aspen Hill, MD in 1963, and finally to Damascus, MD in 1970. After retirement, Guy and Lisette moved to Villeroy, Quebec, where he fulfilled his lifelong dream of living on a farm. Eventually, they would move to Victoriaville, Quebec were they have spent the last 2 years.
A true man of faith, Guy was a regular attendee and member at Mount Airy Full Gospel. Known for his kind, funny, humble, gentle, giving, hardworking, and loyal personality, Guy will be remembered as a great provider and a man of God. He loved listening to Bluegrass music while working in his garage and around the yard on the weekends, cheering for the Dallas Cowboys, playing Petanque (Bocce) in Villeroy with friends, fishing, and anything sweet to eat.
His life lessons of the value of hard work, kindness, and loyalty through actions and faith will continue to inspire and guide us. "Pops" was extremely proud of his children and grandchildren, and believed them to be his greatest accomplishments. His legacy of kindness, selfless service to others, and faith endures through them. We will miss his infectious sense of humor and his immense love for his family. May Guy "Pops" Brouillard rest in peace.
A celebration of Guy's memorable life will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2024 at Damascus Road Community Church in Mt. Airy, MD. Family and friends will be received from 1-2pm, service will begin at 2pm, and a reception will follow. There will be a private burial for immediate family at a later date.
