Guy's obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Guy Bassler on March 23rd, 2023, surrounded by family, love and strength. Born on July 14, 1962 in Menomonee Falls, WI to Gerald and Betty Bassler, Guy spent his life embracing the outdoors and enjoying time spent with loved ones and friends. Guy's career as a concrete finisher was of utmost importance to him and he did not allow a day to pass in which he did not express his pride in his work.
Guy was a devoted and hardworking man who found solace in the great outdoors. His love for the outdoors and insistent pursuit of "fun" were defining aspects of his character and a source of joy throughout his life. He ensured to pass down his love for the outdoors to his daughters and encouraged others to appreciate the beauty of nature's simplicity. Guy's sarcastic charisma and contagious laugh infected anyone in his presence. Guy cherished the many hours spent casting a line into the lake, hunting up north with his brothers and nephews, walking through the woods with his dogs, or simply enjoying a cold beer with friends. While Guy will be deeply missed, his presence will forever be felt throughout the great outdoors.
With no current funeral plans in place, per Guy's wishes, a celebration of life ceremony will be announced at a future date, where friends and family can come together to share their memories and honor the man who touched so many lives, each in a unique manner. The ceremony will take place where Guy was happiest, surrounded by the nature he so dearly loved. Details regarding the event will be shared on here in upcoming weeks.
Guy Bassler's life will be remembered for his unwavering dedication to his work, love for his daughters, the joy he found in the outdoors and most certainly his unfaltering stubbornness. Our family extends our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who played a role in Guy's life and helped him create joyous memories throughout his journey on Earth.
