Lupita's obituary

Guadalupe "Lupita" De La Fuente, affectionately known to many as Lupita, passed away on November 17, 2023. Born on September 24, 1927, Lupita lived a vibrant and full life, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of everyone she met.

Lupita is survived by her daughters, Lucille Fuller; her sons, Hugo and Waldo De La Fuente; her son-in-law John Fuller and her daughter-in-law Conchita De La Fuente. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren: Emil and Karen Short, Joseph Fuller, Melissa, Hugo, Aarón, Kevin, Sarah, and Brandon De La Fuente.

Lupita's joy of life was evident in her love for Mexican cuisine, playing cards, and lotería, as well as her devotion to the Astros. Her zeal extended to her love for literature, particularly the works of Isabel Allende, and her appreciation of bright, vibrant colors. But above all, she cherished spending quality time with her family.

Described by her loved ones as warm, witty, caring, and generous, Lupita always made sure to let her friends and family know that they were loved. Her life and actions served as a reminder of the beauty of kindness and the power of love.

Lupita leaves behind a legacy of kindness. Her radiant spirit and loving heart will forever be remembered by her friends, family, and all those fortunate enough to have known her. Even though she will be profoundly missed, we take solace in knowing that she lives on in our hearts.
