Alicia Gonzalez
1980, North Padre Island, Texas, USA
Roadtrip to the beach - Guadalupe (grandma) I remember going in our big station wagon, we’d drive down from Carrollton, a suburb of Dallas TX.  6-7 hour drive.  We’d go visit her two sister who lived in Corpus Christi.  Just us two.  Sometimes one of my aunts would meet us there.  We enjoyed ourselves swimming and relaxing at the beach.   Thank you for giving me a wonderful childhood.
She married at 13 years old. She raised 7 children while working outside the home, during a time most women did not work away from home. She was a Strong woman, she left a 35 year marriage in the 1970’s. She raised me (more as a daughter than grandchild- and I will always thank God for her love and protection) Grandma Lupe I hope you are in a place we’re all your loved ones have received you with open arms. Rest in Peace till we meet again. You are always in my heart. I miss you so very much. Love Alicia
