It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Griff Young, a beloved family man and a pillar in his community, on April 3, 2024. Griff's legacy of love and laughter will never be forgotten by those he touched during his 66 radiant years on this earth.

Griff was born on April 10, 1957, to his loving father, Vernon Young. His life was enriched by the presence of his brother, Mel Young, both of whom predeceased him.

A devoted grandfather, Griff is survived by his grandchildren , Autumn Goodro (Forest Goodro), Lauren Cook,  Corey Mays (Rachel Mays), Maggie Mays, Mason Mays, and Jaxie Mays. He was a jovial figure in the lives of his step-children, Charli Mondragon and Brooke Mays, who will forever remember him fondly. 

In his leisure time, Griff was an avid tinkerer, often seen with his head under the hood of a car, tools in hand. He took delight in life's simple pleasures like enjoying his favorite drink, an ice-cold Diet Coke, after a hard day's work, and indulging in sweet treats. Always one to embrace modernity, he loved playing with his VR headset, which often brought forth his infectious laughter.

Those who knew Griff described his personality as 'big and funny.' He had a knack for bringing smiles to faces and will be remembered as the person who could light up a room with his quick wit and hearty laugh.

We invite family, friends, and those who knew Griff to celebrate his life and the joy he brought to us all. It is a time to remember that one's spirit, like Griff's, never truly leaves us. Instead, it lives on in the laughter, love, and memories we shared with him.
