I heard the beautiful voice of a man singing in the kitchen and when I peeked around the corner to see, there was this tall handsome man and if you believe in love at first sight, it definitely was!  That was September 2005, we were married January 2006 and only grew closer throughout our 16 years of marriage before Greg became very sick with liver cancer in 2021.  He is still the love of my life and missed beyond measure!
On Tuesday, January 6th, I will celebrate my 20th Wedding Anniversary without my beautiful husband whom I continue to love and miss beyond words.  Greg was a very talented, loving, and kind person!  I understood him!  Life without him the past 4 years has definitely been quite the challenge but I continue to cling to all the beautiful memories that he shared with me during our 16 year marriage!  I know without a doubt, that he is safe in the arms of Jesus!
Hard to believe it's been 4 years since I lost a good friend and co-worker.  I think of him often and every time I see his truck on 22 by Hillcrest Garden of Memory.  I hope you are doing well Lisa! I know you miss Greg and so do I. He was one of a kind!

I digress,it was his last night in church so he was gonna have a"1 man show" , close to the end he had a song I think he said was called north, south, east or west. I was sitting here in a/c working on a computer cussing it because I have a virus on it, and my best friend for years came in. She has been madat me because her who don it husband and this other girl had caused her to be mad at me for 2 wks.. sorry I ramble! Anyway we cleared the air and ii went to telling her a story about Greg that God only knows how many times I told it. So I decided to say hey you wouldn't remember me but you made a lasting good impression on my life.  I'm sorry for you're loss but maybe someone was meant to here this right now.  I ramble I'm sorry A life time of add and prescribed mostly non prescribed

It's been nearly 4 years since I lost you my beautiful husband, but rest assured, I still love you and miss you like crazy!

I'm in total shock to learn today that my good friend passed away.  I lost contact with Greg in 2004 and didn't know how to  reconnect. With a heavy heart, I wish different. I will always remember  playing with him in IFI. AT THE Carol Vance Unit.

Greg, I know you were a born again christian  and I know one day we will meet again and     jam out together again.

This was the last love song that Greg wrote for me about the love we shared so deeply!
I grew up with Greg, taught him to play guitar better. I also was First Chair All State Tenor II the same year he was tenor I. We worked together for awhile just out of high school. He had a great singing voice. I know him. Knew him to his core. I’m sorry for your loss and sorry he did not have a chance to reach out to me before his passing. I live 20 minutes south of Hillsboro.

My condolences to Gregory's family. I first met Greg sometime around our Jr High years?  For some reason (I'm not sure why?) our mothers knew each other,  A couple of times, my mother, Reta, went to visit with Jerri and took me with her.  Greg and I met this way before we met in school.   When we did meet in school, it was mostly in the Choir.    We both loved music and singing.  Greg was certainly WAY better at it than I was, but we both loved it.   It was the basis for our friendship.

Outside of music, we ran in different circles.  Greg was "cool".  I was a "nerd".   But, the great thing about Greg was:  anytime you were with him, YOU FELT like you were "best friends".    He had that way of connecting with people.    We shared many good times, and  tough times together.    If I needed a friend to talk you, Greg was always there.. and, I for him.   And trust me, we were there for each other many times.

We went different paths after High School, but I always kept up, through others, with Greg's musical successes and was proud to hear about them.  I wish, very much, that we could have connected in later years.   I think, we'd have had even more in common  than we did before.

It warms my heart to see the beautiful legacy of family Greg has left behind.  I know he must have been very proud.    I look forward to the day when we can sing praises to God, together again.. in perfect 2-part harmony.  Greg on the HIGH part, of course!  :-)

RIP my friend.
