Gregory's obituary
Gregory Allen Litz
August 20, 1968 – May 9, 2025
Gregory “Greg” Allen Litz passed away on May 9, 2025. Born on August 20, 1968, in Erie, Pennsylvania to Thomas Litz and Mildred Kazmierowski. Greg grew into a man known not only for his quiet strength and tireless work ethic, but above all, for the fierce love and devotion he poured into his family.
Greg was a beloved husband, a devoted father to three daughters, and a steadfast friend to many. But his love didn’t stop there—he was also a loyal son, a dependable brother, and a fun, loving uncle. Family was the center of Greg’s world, and he nurtured every relationship with care, humor, and humility. Whether it was lending a hand on a home project, offering advice when asked, or simply showing up, Greg’s presence was a constant and comforting force in the lives of those who knew him.
The garage was one of Greg’s sacred spaces—where the smell of grease, gasoline, and unfinished projects marked a life in motion. Engines were sometimes more promises than progress, but what never waited were his daughters’ volleyball tournaments, a neighbor who needed help, or a child who needed a home. Whether he was tightening bolts or providing encouragement from the sidelines, Greg made his presence known. He was the kind of father who made every serve, every set, and every success feel celebrated.
Greg’s heart was large enough to welcome others into his family, including Kelsey Fazekas, whom he and his wife welcomed as a foster daughter. In doing so, Greg showed once again the selflessness that defined him—a love that opened its doors without hesitation and made others feel wholly seen and safe.
He is survived by his loving wife Kacey Litz; daughters Andie, Lilli, and Kelsey; his parents Tom and Millie; siblings Steve Litz and Sandi Newsome; and nieces and nephews who adored their Uncle Greg. His family and friends will carry forward his memory in the laughter he sparked, the lessons he lived, and the love he gave without limit.
Greg’s legacy is not one of accolades, but of impact—quiet, enduring, and profound. He will be missed beyond measure and remembered with boundless love. A celebration of Greg's life will take place Friday May 16th 2025 at 9:30 AM at Oasis Church: 85 S Tymber Creek Rd, Ormond Beach FL 32174.
