We are saddened to announce the passing of Gregory "Greg" Hetrick, a man of remarkable warmth and spirited personality, who left us too soon on July 17, 2024. Born on June 22, 1983, Greg crafted a life that was as beautifully shaped and colorful as the glasswork art he so passionately created.

Greg will be deeply missed by his father, Barton Hetrick, who survives him. Their bond was one of mutual respect, shared laughter, and an unwavering love that stands as a testament to their shared history and experiences.

A memorial service to celebrate Greg's life will be held on August 18, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Robeson Evangelical Lutheran Church. This gathering will be a time to share stories, shed tears, and remember a man who touched the lives of many with his radiant personality and giving nature.

Greg was a master of his craft, known far and wide for his exceptional talent in flamework and hot glass art. His works, which we named 'Glassworks,' were not just pieces of art but reflections of his soul - radiant, delicate, and infinitely beautiful. His art will continue to inspire and amaze, serving as an enduring reminder of his creative spirit.

More than his accomplishments, Greg left behind a legacy of kindness and generosity. He taught us to enjoy life in all its hues and nuances, extending warmth and love to everyone he encountered. His infectious laughter, warm smiles, and the sparkle in his eyes will be sorely missed but will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.

In losing Greg, we have lost a brilliant artist, a loving son, and a compassionate human being. His spirit will continue to shine in our memories, reminding us to embrace life with openness and joy. Rest in Peace, Greg Hetrick. You will always be cherished and remembered.
