Gregory's obituary
On January 6th, 1960 during a winter storm Greg was almost born in a taxi on the way to the hospital, thankfully they made it and he was born healthy to Donald and Becky Forbes in New York City.
Greg's father was in the Army and they traveled extensively, one of his fondest childhood memories was when Greg was in 1st grade when his Dad Donald, was stationed at the Panama Canal, where Greg and his brothers used to run through the jungle seeing the natural wildlife all around them.
Greg spent 40 years doing what he loved working in HVAC. Although, as everyone that knew Greg, would understand that he was definitely not one that would be hard to hear whenever people were around him, he may of missed his calling of being an excellent sports commentator.
In 2004, Greg met Bonnie and they married November 21, 2007. Greg & Bonnie were the fur-parents to their beloved cats Buddy & Bojangles.
Greg enjoyed grilling out, especially with meat on the bone, old movies, music, cold beers, The Braves, The Falcons, Nascar and Georgia Tech, which his Step Father Jim Luck, who at one time was the Assistant Coach for, helped him love the team even more.
Greg was predeceased by his Father, Donald Forbes, Step Father James Luck & Mother Becky Jean Luck. He is survived by his wife Bonnie Marie (Niven) Forbes, Son Brandon (wife Britney) Forbes, Daughter Christy Forbes, 5 Grandchildren, Parent in laws Karen & Neil Fry, CJ & Jimmie Lou Julian, Sister in law Shannon Niven, Brother in law Robert (wife Julie) Niven, many nieces & nephews and his fur children Buddy & BoJangles, Many special friends including Jimmy & Cathy Frasier.
Cremation has taken place at the Cremation Society of Georgia. A Celebration of Greg's life will take place this summer. Greg will be forever loved and forever remembered.

Pray hard for the rain
And show your love for lady nature
And she will come back again"
