Gregory Carr Allen, of Bellwood, Illinois, was called home on August 18, 2025, at the age of 77. Born on June 2, 1948, Gregory lived a life full of love, laughter, and dedication to both his family and his country.

He proudly served in the United States Army for eight years, embodying honor, strength, and perseverance. Beyond his service, Gregory found joy in life’s simple pleasures—vacationing with loved ones, casting a line while fishing, and spending time at the bowling alley with friends and family.

Gregory leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife, Freddie Allen; his loving daughter, Jaime Allen; and his beloved grandchildren, Tajai Allen, Darius Allen, and Tommie Jackson. He will also be remembered fondly by a host of other family members and dear friends whose lives he touched with his warmth and kindness.

He is preceded in death by his father, Carl Allen, who no doubt welcomed him with open arms.

Gregory’s legacy of love, service, and joy will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. His family and friends will carry his memory with them always.
