My dad was hospitalized for 5 weeks with endless complications after a shoulder replacement on October 8, 2024 which resulted in metabolic encephalopathy that never resolved. He came home on hospice on November 12, 2024. His first day home was the happiest he’d been in weeks, still very confused but knew he was finally home with his family. He was only home a few short days and passed away peacefully on November 15. Although, everything happened so quickly, we were thankful that he was no longer suffering and he was finally free from all of the pain he has experienced over the years. We thank everyone who has been there for him and supported us along the way.
