Gregory's obituary

With deep sorrow and cherished memories, we announce the passing of Gregory H. Stone, a devoted father, a beloved partner, and a proud veteran who lived his life with unwavering kindness and boundless love. Greg left this world at the age of 58, leaving behind a legacy of courage, compassion, and joy.

Gregory is proceeded in death by his Mother, Julie White & Father, Rocky “Alton” Stone  &  survived by his daughter, Kayla Stone.

Born April 11, 1966, Greg's journey was marked by a profound sense of duty and honor, evident from his early years. His pride in serving his country as a member of the army defined much of his life's purpose, shaping his character with discipline, integrity, and a steadfast commitment to his fellow soldiers.

"Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming 'Wow! What a ride!'." - Hunter S. Thompson

Beyond the call of duty, Greg found solace and joy in the simple pleasures of life. An avid sports enthusiast, he found camaraderie and excitement in the game of baseball, cheering passionately for his favorite teams and relishing every moment spent on the field. Whether he was hiking through rugged trails or enjoying the company of his faithful canine companions, Greg found tranquility in nature's embrace, finding peace in its serenity.

Yet, amidst his love for adventure and the great outdoors, Greg's heart always found its truest home in the warmth of human connection. A sweet and gentle soul, he touched the lives of most who knew him with his infectious laughter, genuine kindness, and unwavering support. His love knew no bounds, extending effortlessly to his cherished girlfriend, whose presence brought him immeasurable happiness and comfort.

"Life is short. Smile while you still have teeth." - Unknown

In the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him, Greg will forever remain a beacon of light, a source of inspiration, and a testament to the power of love and compassion. Though he may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the countless memories he created, and the profoundly witty commits he'd make.

As we bid farewell to our beloved Greg, let us take comfort in the knowledge that his legacy of love and generosity will continue to shine brightly, guiding us through the darkest of days and reminding us of the beauty and resilience of the human spirit.

A memorial service to celebrate Greg's life has not yet been decided.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mighty Oaks  in Grag's honor.

Rest in peace, dear Greg. You will be deeply missed and eternally remembered.
