In Loving Memory of Grace Evelyn Christensen

August 13, 1946 - August 10, 2025

It is with sadness and peace that we announce the passing of Grace Evelyn Christensen, who died peacefully on August 10, 2025, in Bloomington, MN just three days shy of her 79th birthday.

Waiting to welcome Grace in heaven are her parents, Clint and Ruth Peterman, her brother David Peterman, dear friends, and her many beloved pets. Also waiting is her former husband, Larry Christensen. Additionally, she reunites with one of her greatest loves—reading—a joy that was unfairly taken from her following a stroke in 2007.

Grace will be deeply missed by her son Andrew Christensen of Iowa City, IA; her son and daughter-in-law Clinton and Emilie Christensen; her grandson Cooper; and her bonus grandchildren Bev and Charlie, all of Farmington, MN, as well as her siblings Elliot and Cheryl Peterman, Brian and Laurie Peterman, Nella and Rick Houser, her niece and nephews, along with many other family members and friends.

Grace loved books, music, good conversation, and chocolate, but most of all, she loved being a Grandma. She was a woman of substance and faith, reflected in her attentive ear, sound advice, and fierce love of her family. We take comfort in knowing that her legacy will live on through the lives she touched, the songs she sang, and the memories we share.

A celebration of life will be held at a future date, and details will be shared when available.
