Grace  (Lochirco) Aufterhaar went home to Jesus on September 30, 2023 at age 84.

Grace was born to Seymore and Ann on December 21, 1938 in Detroit, Michigan. She was the second oldest of 4 children, preceded in death by her oldest brother and younger sister.  Grace knew her husband, Fred, in high school, but  they never dated. While  he was home on leave from the Air Force,  they met again at a graduation party, and eloped soon after on July 2, 1957. They went on to have 5 children, 13 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren with one on the way. In addition to being a dedicated wife, loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, Grace was a Cosmetologist,  who also loved to cook, draw, and play scrabble. She survived 3  bouts with cancer, the last being stage 4 Lymphoma.  During her remaining years, Dementia stole many memories but did not steal her unwavering faith in God. Even when she struggled to talk,  she recited the Lord's prayer with ease and worshiped her Savior. She was always ready to  share her faith and led many to Jesus. She was quick to open her heart to family, friend, and stranger alike,  and she shared her love with all who surrounded her.
